Merchant Policy

This Merchant Policy is an integral part of Paywint’s Terms and Conditions and governs the services provided to businesses (hereafter referred to as “Merchants”) that utilize Paywint’s payment platform. By registering as a merchant and using Paywint’s services, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below. This policy is designed to establish clear guidelines and ensure a smooth and secure payment experience for all parties involved.

Overview of Merchant Services

Merchants are business entities or individuals who register with Paywint to utilize its payment platform for managing transactions. By creating a merchant account, you gain access to several features that enhance your ability to manage financial interactions with payors, vendors, and other stakeholders. These features are designed to streamline your operations while providing a secure environment for payment processing.

Transaction Fees for Merchants

To maintain the high-quality services provided by Paywint, merchants are required to pay a nominal fee for each transaction processed through the platform:

  • A fee will be charged on the total funds collected from payors.
  • This fee will be deducted automatically before the collected amount is credited to your Paywint wallet.
  • Please note that this fee is non-refundable, even in cases of disputes or chargebacks.
  • A fee will be set upon exceeding usage limits.
  • The fee will be dynamically set automatically by the system based on the following factors:
    • Received volume
    • Transaction count
    • Payment volume
    • Number of successful and failed transactions
    • Disputes and chargebacks
  • For higher transaction volumes, the system will set a lower fee.
  • Conversely, for lower transaction volumes, the fee will be comparatively higher.

These fees enable Paywint to maintain its secure infrastructure and provide exceptional service to all its users.

Merchant Responsibilities and Dispute Liability

Merchants using Paywint’s platform are expected to take full responsibility for their transactions and interactions with payors or vendors.

  • Prohibited Transactions:
Merchants must ensure that no payment is requested or received from prohibited countries or for prohibited industries, as defined by local, national, or international laws and Paywint’s policies.
    • Paywint is not responsible for any legal complications arising from such prohibited transactions.
    • By using Paywint’s services, merchants acknowledge their responsibility to verify compliance with these restrictions.
  • Legal Disclaimer:
Paywint is not a bank or an FDIC-insured institution. It serves solely as a payment gateway utilizing third-party services for processing transactions. As such, Paywint bears no liability for legal issues related to improper usage of the platform.
  • Third-Party Agreement:
By acknowledging this policy, merchants also agree to the terms and conditions of Paywint’s third-party service providers, as their services form an integral part of the platform’s operations.
  • Handling Disputes:
If a dispute arises, Paywint reserves the right to deduct the disputed amount from the merchant’s wallet balance until the matter is resolved. In cases where the wallet balance is insufficient, merchants must fund the account to cover the shortfall. Failure to comply may result in account suspension.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations

Merchants are required to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing their business activities and transactions processed through Paywint.

  • Non-compliance may lead to account suspension, termination, or other actions deemed necessary by Paywint.
  • Merchants are encouraged to regularly review their business practices to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Termination of Merchant Accounts

Paywint reserves the right to terminate merchant accounts under the following circumstances:

  • Violations of this Merchant Policy or Paywint’s Terms and Conditions.
  • Engagement in fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activities.
  • Repeated disputes or failure to resolve disputes in a timely manner.

In the event of account termination, funds in the merchant’s Paywint wallet may be withheld until any outstanding disputes are resolved. Paywint will notify the merchant of the termination and provide details regarding the next steps.

Policy Updates and Amendments

To ensure relevance and effectiveness, Paywint reserves the right to update or amend this Merchant Policy at any time.

  • Significant updates will be communicated to merchants via email or through notifications within the platform.
  • Continued use of Paywint’s services following the notification of changes will constitute acceptance of the updated policy.

Merchants are encouraged to review this policy periodically to stay informed of any changes. This Merchant Policy establishes a framework for fair and responsible use of Paywint’s services by merchants. By adhering to these guidelines, merchants can ensure a seamless and efficient experience for themselves and their payors.
